About Olya

  Fully qualified with over twenty years of experience in the Beauty Industry and over a decade of experience with Semi-Permanent Make Up (SPMU), Olya brings a wealth of knowledge and practical hands-on expertise to the business. Since moving back to the U.K. in 2010, Olya specialises in freelance SPMU, offering her extensive experience and expertise to clientele in the South-west of England plus mobile services to London and the South. She is a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, an organisation dedicated to promoting permanent cosmetics safety, excellence, certification, and industry guidelines. Olya is also a Finishing Touches Approved Technician. Finishing touches are the première SPMU organisation in the U.K.

  Olya originally completed the College of Skin Care & Beauty Therapy in Belgrade. After five years of working at a number of beauty clinics, she established and ran her own beauty clinic from 1998-2010,  offering specialised skin care such as Eniviron Ionzyme skin care, Neostrata skin peels, SPMU, IPL hair removal and microdermabrasion to mention just a few from a wide range of niche treatments.  SPMU training was completed in Johannesburg in 2003 with Our Secret – Permanent Make Up Traning Centre, CPCP Member (Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional).

Semi-Permanent Make Up is Olya’s greatest passion and she considers herself  blessed to be able to combine her talents with a career which fulfils on so many levels.

Clinic Locations

  Olya’s freelancing Semi-Permanent Make Up services are currently offered at the following locations:

 

  • The You Beauty clinic in Trowbridge. These premises are close to Bath & Bristol but without the big city overheads, permitting the cost benefits to be passed onto clients.
  • Pending – watch this space

Additionally, a mobile service is available for clients who’s time and/or travel is limited. Clients can receive treatments in their own homes and Olya regularly makes mobile visits to London and across the South of England to accomodate her clientele.  See her Mobile/Home Visits page for more information.

Your Consultatation

  Many clients are understandably a little nervous about the semi-permanent nature of their SPMU procedure. This is natural and, with this in mind, Olya will seek to address any anxieties clients may have. The consultation process shows clients exactly how their make up will appear after their treatment so clients can see what they are getting.

So after discussing your natural features and colouring and with feedback from the client, Olya will suggest the best possible shape and colour for the area concerned. e.g. She will draw your perfect eyebrows using brow pencil and callipers and show you the best colour of pigment – the closest to your natural colouring. This way clients get to see exactly what their new features will look like post-procedure. For clients wishing to have the procedure, an allergy patch test is completed.

Your SPMU Procedure

  Once the client is happy with their desired results, the procedure can take place, either during the same visit or at a future appointment. Client info and consent forms are completed and pre-treatment photos are taken. A topical anaesthetic is applied, which stays on for 30 minutes. Pigment is implanted into the dermal layer of the skin (about 0.5 mm).

Once the procedure is completed, after-photos are taken and a booking for your touch-up procedure is scheduled, which is best done 4-6 weeks after. It takes approximately 1½ hours for each procedure to be completed.

  For Lip procedures, the natural shape is always followed with the goal of improving the contour with the colour you choose from a wide selection. SPMU Eyeliner is done using your chosen colour from the extensive range, with the result of beautifully enhanced and defined eyes.

All procedures require a follow-up session within 4-6 weeks. Lips may require 3 procedures, depending on the individual.
